FAQs
What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, is a procedure where natural pigments are implanted into the skin to enhance your facial features. It’s like getting a tattoo, but instead of art, it creates long-lasting makeup effects, such as fuller eyebrows, defined eyeliner, or enhanced lips.
Does it hurt?
You may experience some mild discomfort but most clients say it doesn’t hurt. We will make you feel as comfortable as possible during the treatment.
How long does it take?
Treatment time vary depending on how advanced or detailed the required result is. Although some treatments may take as little as 1 hour, you should allow 2-3 hours for your appointment.
A second appointment to review the final healed colour is included in the price. This will be needed 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment and takes around 90 minutes.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes! A patch test must be done at least 48 before treatment. This can be done at your free consultation or alternately this can be sent to you with instructions to be done at home.
How long does it last?
Treatments last for around 12-18 months but attend your annual colour boost appointment to make sure your brows stay looking fresh. Lips last 1- 3 years.
Why have a Permanent Makeup?
This technique is ideal for people who want to save time on their daily makeup routine, have difficulty applying makeup, or desire a natural look that stays put even when swimming or sweating. The results can last several years, though occasional touch-ups may be needed.
Is Permanent Makeup safe?
Yes! The pigments I use are non-toxic and hypoallergenic. I only use sterile, disposable needles, which are opened in front of each client and I adhere to the strictest hygiene and sanitation procedures. I am registered and licensed by Epsom & Ewell Borough Council to carry out permanent makeup.
